Grew up in a family of crafters, Molla has discovered the arts of handicrafts already when she was a kid. Little did she know at the time, that this passion would make her the crochet designer and author that she is today.

Molla is a big believer in making her design simple and available to everyone. Her design is about beautiful patterns and uncomplicated techniques that all of us can master. Through her work, Molla encourages her readers and follower to reconnect to the small details in everyday life. From choosing the materials, colours and patterns that appeal to our hearts, to bringing it to life with our own two hands – Molla thinks that handicraft is as much about self-expression as creation. 

Today you can find Molla traveling around the world and exploring colourful cultures. She loves to be inspired by places she visits and people she meets and above all, she loves to be connected to makers around the world. Molla believes that crafting is a universal language that we all speak. Over the years, she has already built a huge community of makers from different cultures and backgrounds. 

Molla has published five Virkkuri crochet books. They are translated into 10 different languages and sold around the world.
